France is known to be one of the most popular places to go to for tourism. Tourism in France helps the country because it raises lots of money from tourism alone. The country has many attractions that would make someone want to visit there. It makes me want to visit there someday.

Parody Video on immigrants
I came across this video on youtube on a comedy cartoon about immigrants coming to America. In the video, they were talking about different issues about migrating. Although this is a comedy short video, but it could be offensive to some sensitive individuals. This video could represent any one who migrates into another country. This video is for people who has a large sense of humor only.

Immigrating illegally
This short article talks about how the presidential candidate Rick Santorum considers all undocumented immigrants to be criminals. Immigration should be carefully monitored because it could cause all kinds of problems in the society. If immigrants keep coming into the United States without any documents then they are a ghost to the system. They would not have to pay taxes or anything like that, which isn't fair to the citizens, and this is just one of many things that could happen.

Acceleration on Immigration
This was an article about acceleration on immigration. It shows that this could be dangerous. It involved terrorist that were trying to become citizens of the United States by getting married to a current citizen. The tried to have easy access to the country, but they were busted. They could have caused trouble if they made it to the United States and becoming citizens as terrorist.

House We Live In
This video contained a few issues that i can recall. It is a shame to be recognized as a generic race rather than the actual race that you are. A person from Japan would not be noted down as Japanese. There is a standard that the government went by when identifying the race. Also it also discussed the hardships of blacks to whites. One lady discussed how they could not buy a house that was around other whites, because of her skin color. Whites were seen to be superior over the blacks. If any whites accepted the blacks, they were looked upon as being different.
Mixed Blood
In the United States, you have many different racial groups. One racial groups meets another racial group, and that makes a new mixed racial group. Then that mixed racial group meets another racial group, then we have a double mixed racial group. This could go on and on until a person is mixed with 15 racial groups. I am sure this is happening somewhere right now. The article demonstrated the cultural basis of race by comparing how races are defined in the United States and Brazil. Its amazing how the mixed girl could switch her race from black in the United States to to brunette in Brazil by taking a trip there.
White Priviledge
In some cases, white privileges does exist. Some of the points that the author writing the article were true, and some of the points were an opinion. One that I know is true is, " I am never asked to speak for all people of my racial group." I never heard any white being ask to speak for all whites. I have heard of blacks speaking for all blacks though. One of the points that I thought was only his opinion was, "I can be pretty sure that my neighbors in such a location will be neutral or pleasant to me." This is false. There will always be someone in some neighborhood to dislike someone else. If their are blacks that dislike whites then there could be problems. Also there could simply be a white that dislike a white. Everyone on this Earth is not friendly.

Official Statement on Race
Race is used to identify someone by their characteristics. The article talked about a superior race existing amongst the Europeans. There is no superior race in the society. Everyone should be treated equally and not looked upon as having negative trains, such as the black population and the Indians. When you have large diverse groups then that would twist things around and give you more races to characterize. Judging someone by their characteristics does not mean that they belong in the race that you think they belong in. I never judge someone by their characteristics when determining what race they are. If you call someone out of their race, that could be really offensive to them.

Letters from the Other Side
Migrants leave their country for multiple reasons. Some of the reasons would be that their country's economy is in a bad state, they just want to move somewhere else, or they want/need to move to another country that has more opportunity for them to make money. In the film that we watched , the husband tried to move to the United States by being smuggled inside a 18 wheeler, but it resulted in the death of him. Illegally crossing the border to the United States is a very dangerous thing to do for immigrants. The father and son that did made it in the U.S thought that it would be easy to find money in the streets, but it was harder than they thought it was.

Can’t Do it in Europe
In this video they were showing how people still work in conditions that were being worked off hundreds of years ago. Some people work in these conditions because they lack the development of modern technology, and some people work in these conditions because it seems like a tradition to them. The condition that the miners are working in looks very poor and out dated to me. The tourist experienced how it was to work at the mining site. Being a miner was a proud thing, which was stated by one of the workers there. He took the job from his dad when he was a miner. He also loved to have the tourist around to show how things are operated around there.
Why Tourism Matters
Tourism in some countries plays a big role in the economy. Not only it takes the visitors on tours around some of the areas , but it also is a money maker. In countries such as Barbados, Tourism employs 21 percent of the workforce. Tourism makes a lot of money for some countries. A tour would be one of the 1st choices when someone decide to go out of there country, origins, or any place they haven't been before. Its always nice to show people around that are strange to the place. Going on a tour is a powerful tool to exploring. Tourism is bigger than you think it is.

Life and Debt
While there are many restrictions on foods and goods imported into the U.S., there are often no restrictions on food and goods exported to foreign developing countries. This could have a great impact on a lot of distributors from foreign countries. Since they have no standards, they will continue to produce according to their country. When trying to sell their product in the U.S., they are rejected because their products does not meet the standards of the United States. This is very harsh on the farmers or whoever is trying to sell because their product gets rejected and sent back to them. That would be a lot of work and time wasted for them.
Cell Phones, Sharing, and Social Status in an African Society
Cell Phones in the United States has gone way above and beyond than what it use to be. Cells phones can do anything that you want. In other countries such as in parts of Africa does not have the advantage of communication. In some parts of Africa, using minutes on a cell phone is very costly. Most of the population cannot really afford talking a lot on the cell phone. It would be hard to communicate with their family and friends. How much a person talks on the cell phone would actually represent thier social status. If it is a person who talks on the cell phone a lot then that would show that they are in the more wealthy class.

Covered Girls
We are all on this Earth for the same reason, to live. We cannot control where we are born in this world. No matter whom a person is they should not be looked against as an alien. No matter what a person’s culture and background is we are all trying to live. Although we have our differences, everyone should be treated equally. In the film “Covered Girls”, we were able to see that although Muslim girls have their differences, but they are still girls. They want to live and have fun just like an American girl wants, except long as they stay in the religion and culture.

Tattoos
The film "Alix Lambert's The Mark of Cain" gives us the insight on the significance of tattoos in the jailing system. Tattoos are taken very seriously across seas in this jail/prison system. If you have a tattoo then you must know the meaning of them, and you cannot have a tattoo and not knowing what it is. Every tattoo has a representation of what kind of crimes each individual committed. Someone could get punished if they has a tattoo that misrepresented their crime(false claiming). The way this works is totally different from our society. Anybody can just get any type of tattoo that doesn't necessarily have to mean anything. Its a sense of fashion here in the United States.

In Tattoo Shops
Observing how a day goes in a tattoo shop sounds like a pretty interesting thing to do an ethnography on. I could understand that running a tattoo shop could be a very difficult thing to do. The most important part is to have clients that trust you. If you have clients that admire you and your work then they will most likely mention you to their friends. In my personal opinion, flirting with the females should be a must because it helps build your list. Women are way more supportive than men are in my opinion. You do a good job with a female then she will go and tell all her friends and family about the job. This is not the case with guy clients.
Careful naming on Militant Operations
When naming operations, you have to be very careful not to offend anyone. Offending people with names could cause an up roar. Naming the operation in code name always seem like a cool thing to me. Like I said, you can’t just name them anything and expect silence from everyone. If you name an operation “Operation Conquer All”, this would be a big problem. Others would look at it as we are trying to conquer all. This sounds like a totalitarian operation name. There are so many different names that would offend numerous amounts of people, so it is important to try not to link the operation to the actual situation. Being random is the key.

Body Rituals (Nacirema)
Little is known about the Nacirema people, but one thing that is known is their ways of life is different from an American. Their culture is characterized by a highly developed market economy which has involved in a rich natural habitat. They spend a percentage of their day in ritual activities. One of their main focuses is on the human body. Every household must have at least one shrine for the rituals. Anything that they use amongst their population is natural items and herbs, etc. The condition of the human body is very important to them, and they have ways to change certain things that they want to change by their magic, such as the size of the body.

Number Our Days
I think that being with a group that is different from the group that you usually be around most of the time is pretty interesting. In this film, she monitored a associated among the elder folks. She visited the Elderly Center, and even some of their homes to ask them questions. I personally think that it is fun to listen to people's stories of their past. The elders seem to enjoy living with each other. I remember the Elder women that was in the center and she out lived all her kids. This was some sad stuff to hear. It would actually be a helpful thing to do by monitoring the lives of elders because you may be in the same situation later in life.
